See who submitted feedback from Slack

Improvement

Want to know who logged a piece of product feedback from Slack?

We've got you. We've just launched a feature that gives you more information about who submitted a piece of feedback through the Slack app.

More context about feedback sent from Slack

Now, when your teams log feedback through the Slack integration…

Savio will not just tell you that the feedback came from Slack, but also who sent it.

More context FTW!

Get started

This feature makes the Slack integration better. You can get the Slack integration on any plan. (Get hooked up with a free trial here, if you need it).

Create and save filters to easily find feature requests relevant to you

New

Savio gives you powerful ways to slice and dice your feature requests to find the ones with the highest impact for your customers. But "highest impact" differs from company to company.

You need an easy way to find the features most relevant to you.

We've just launched a feature to save customized filters so you can quickly find the requests that matter most to you in your particular role.

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 10.41.42 AM.png

For example, you might save filters for:

  • Finding feature requests with certain statuses
  • Finding product and product areas without toggling
  • Finding recent feedback

Making a custom filter

It's super simple to use. Just create the filter you want to save…

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 10.44.11 AM.png

… and then click "Save as new Filter"…

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 10.45.52 AM.png

… and voilà! A new canned filter.

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 10.50.10 AM.png

Sharing a custom filter with your team

You can also choose to share your custom filter with your team (if you have an admin or owner role). Or, you can just create it for yourself.

Better Context When Selecting Feature Requests During Triage

New

We're excited about this one.

You know how when you're logging feedback, it's sometimes difficult to know which feature request you should pick?

Well, we just made it easier! We've launched a feature to give you more context about the feature request when you're selecting it so it's easier to pick the right one.

More context to the select list

We added critical information to the select list:

You'll see this change in the Savio app… Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 7.50.32 PM.png

… as well as in the Chrome Extension

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 7.56.26 PM.png

and in the Zendesk integration.

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 8.21.06 PM.png

We've found that assigning feedback to feature requests is actually the hardest part of building a solid feedback-tracking system. This additional information gives you some extra context to help you find the right feature and make fewer mistakes!

Get started

You'll see this new feature on all Savio plans. (Not yet on a plan? Get set up with a free trial here).

Keep your team updated with automatic updates posted to Slack

New

Not everyone on your team uses Savio, so they may not be always up-to-date on what your customers are looking for.

Well, here's a solution. We've upgraded the Slack integration so now you can automatically post feedback and feature request updates to Slack from Savio.

How it works

You choose the Slack channel where you want feedback updates posted, and then you choose which kinds of updates you want.

You can choose to get updates when:

  • New feedback gets created or sent to your Savio vault
  • Feedback gets triaged—i.e. Processed and assigned to a feature request
  • A feature request’s status gets updated

Get updates when new feedback gets created

Set Savio to post an update in Slack when you receive a new piece of feedback (so your whole team can see what customers are asking for).

Screen Shot 2022-11-22 at 10.47.14 AM.png

Get updates when feedback gets triaged

Set Savio to post updates when you Triage a piece of feedback and assign it to a feature request (so your whole team can see how popular feature requests are)

Screen Shot 2022-11-22 at 10.59.38 AM.png

Get updates when a feature request’s status gets updated

Or, set Savio up to receive updates when a feature request status changes as it moves through your dev workflow (so your team can stay current on what stage a feature is at in your workflow).

Screen Shot 2022-11-25 at 4.16.50 PM.png

Tip: If you set up the Jira or Shortcut configuration, you’ll get these status updates automatically when your dev team moves features through the workflow in those tools.

Start posting to Slack!

All plans currently have access to the Slack integration. The full, step-by-step instructions for setting it up are here.

Savio No Longer Double Counts Numeric Attributes

Fix

Savio was double-counting numeric values if a feature was requested more than once by people from the same company.

When the bug occurred

For example, if Bob and Sally from Acme Corp. both asked for a Zapier integration, the Acme Corp's MRR would be counted twice — once for Bob, and once for Sally—in the MRR column for the Zapier integration.

Whoops!

We've fixed it.

Now, numeric attributes are only counted once when there are multiple requests from the same company for a feature. Those numeric categories that don't double count include MRR, Requests, and Votes, among others.

Thanks to you all for pointing it out to us!

Track and Prioritize Feature Requests Relevant to a Specific Product Area

New

Overwhelmed by a massive list of feature requests that aren't relevant to your day-to-day?

We've launched product areas so you can categorize feedback and feature requests into different product areas. Now you can easily find the feedback and feature requests relevant to the product areas you're responsible for.

Add product areas

First, add product areas to Savio. You can have as many product areas as you want. You can also have different product areas for different products.

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 11.14.14 AM.png

Logging feedback to a product area

Now, when your teams receive feedback, they can categorize it in a product area immediately from the Savio app, or any of our integrations (Slack, Intercom, Help Scout, Zendesk, the Chrome Extension, and so on).

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 11.19.44 AM.png

Or, you can specify a product area during triage.

Screen Shot 2022-11-29 at 11.21.54 AM.png

Filtering feedback and feature requests by product area

Once you've categorized features and feature requests into product areas, it's easy to filter by them.

Using product areas in Savio

You can use product areas if you're on the Growth or Scaling plans.

Already using Savio? You can manage and add product areas here.

Find full step-by-step instructions for using product areas here.

Track & Prioritize Feature Requests for Different Products

New

Do you want to keep track of feature requests for more than one product? Good news - now you can, with a feature we're calling "Products".

How Products Works

First, you add your products to Savio.

Logging Feedback to a Product

When feedback is logged to Savio, your team assigns the feedback to a product.

Filtering Feedback by Product

When you're Triaging product feedback or looking at the All Feedback Page, you can filter the feedback you see down to those from a single product, all products, or with no product.

Show tags on your Voting Board

Improvement

You can add tags to Feature Requests that are displayed on your voting board. Just add Public:: before a tag and it will be displayed publicly.

This way you can have tags that are not visible publicly and some that are on the same Feature Request.

For example this Feature Request has one internal tag (Integrations) and one public (Public::Planned for Q4):

Feature Requests List | Savio 2022-05-26 13-34-23.png

On the voting board the only tag that's visible is Planned for Q4 (Savio removes the Public:: part of the tag):

New Hubspot attributes get pulled into Savio automatically

Improvement

If you're using the Hubspot integration, and added a new Hubspot property to a contact or account, it'll now be pulled into Savio automatically within 24 hours.

And if you're in a hurry you can force a refresh of Hubspot attributes by:

  1. Going to Settings => People and Company Attributes,
  2. Clicking "More Actions"
  3. Clicking Refresh Hubspot: People and Company Attributes | Savio 2022-05-26 13-18-11.png

Two Chrome Extension Improvements

Improvement

The Chrome Extension now shows you a button that lets you speedily enter multiple pieces of feedback for the same person:

You can also copy a link to the feedback you just logged to your clipboard, or open the feedback in Savio in a new tab:
